Getting Started with QB EzPay

It’s time to get QB EzPay installed on your PC so you can experience the benefits and features that this software has to offer.  Please follow the below steps to help you install the software on your computer.  

Step 1 –

Click on the ‘Get Started’ link located on the home page of QB EzPay’s website (www.qbezpay.com)

 

Step 2 –

Select the option that best fits the way you want to try QB EzPay –

  • Demo Mode – Test the software against a Demo or Existing Company.  Credit Card and ACH transactions   are not processed.
  • Trial Mode (Most Popular) - Test the software against a Demo or Existing Company.  Credit Card and ACH transactions are processed.

 

Step 3 –

Register for a New QB EzPay Account –

Fill in all the appropriate information including User Name/Password, Email Address, Security Question/Answer, and Verification Entry.  Once complete, click on the ‘Create Account’ button to advance.

 

Step 4 –

Please check your email inbox and look for an email coming from QB EzPay.  Once opened, Click on the below link to confirm your email account with us.

 

Step 5 –

Enter the Security Answer you put in during the initial Registration Process.  Click on the ‘Confirm Account’ button to advance.

 

Step 6 –

Enter the User Name you generated earlier in the Registration process.

 

Step – 7

Enter the Password you generated earlier on in the Registration process.

 

Step 8 –

Enter in the details of your newly set up Account.  When complete, click on the ‘Update Account Profile’ button.

 

Step 9 –

The software verifies that your Account Profile Settings have been saved with the below window.  To advance, click on the ‘Return Home’ button.

 

Step 10 –

Click on either of the two Download QB EzPay Links to pull up the Download Window.

 

Step 11 –

Click on the Download button to begin the download process.

Click on ‘Run’ button to advance.

 

Step 12 –

Welcome to the QB EzPay Installer!  Click on the ‘Next’ button to advance.

 

Step 13 –

You can review the QB EzPay Licensing Agreement in this window.  If you agree to the terms and conditions, click in the ‘I agree to these terms and conditions’ box.  Then, click on ‘Next’ to advance.

 

Step 14 –

Under your Installation Options you can choose where to install the QB EzPay software on your PC.  The software installation will automatically default to your ‘C’ Drive.  If you choose to install in a different location, click on the ‘Browse’ button to select where you want to install.

Click on the ‘Next’ button to advance.

 

Step 15 –

QB EzPay will now start the installation process.  There will be several windows that will appear while this installation process is in action.  See screen shots below.

Once the software is done installing, click in the ‘Start the application’ box to have the software open after you click on the ‘Finish’ button.

    

 

Step 16 –

Login to the QB EzPay software.

Please remember that if you want to process live transactions and have them written to your QuickBooks Company file, uncheck the ‘Use in Demo Mode’ box.

Next, enter your User Name and Password.

Click on ‘OK’ to advance.

*Note – Check the ‘Remember Me’ box to have the system store your login information.

    

If the software does not automatically start , click on the EzPay icon located in your taskbar.

Step 17 –

Choose how the QB EzPay application will interact with your company’s QuickBooks file. 

For the sake of speed and security with your information, check the 3rd option to allow the QB EzPay application to access your QuickBooks company file to read and modify records.

Under the last option, uncheck the box that allows QB EzPay to access personal information such as Social Security Numbers, and Credit Card Numbers stored within QuickBooks.

Click on the ‘Continue’ button to advance.

 

Step 18 -

QuickBooks will show you an Access Confirmation screen for validation to have QB EzPay access your QuickBooks company file.

Click on the ‘Done’ button to advance.

 

 

Step 19 –

A new Company file has been detected by the QB EzPay software.  Now it’s time to associate your QuickBooks company file with the QB EzPay software.

If you click on ‘Yes’, you’ll be able to process live transactions against your company’s QuickBook file.

If you click on ‘No’, the software will run in Demo Mode.  You will not be able to process live transactions against your company file.

 

Step 20 –

How it’s time to walk through the Company Registration Wizard.  This wizard will ask you about default company settings as well as help with your AuthorizeNet settings.

Click on ‘Start’ to begin the wizard.

 

Step 21 -

Enter your company information.

Click on ‘Next’ to advance.

 

Step 22 –

Using the drop down selections next to the account types, select the default accounts you want QB EzPay to associate with.

Click on the ‘Next’ button to advance.

 

Step 23 –

The window allows us to set up our AuthnorizeNet settings.

Select one of the three AuthorizeNet Transaction options below.  Please note - If you want to process live transactions, you must have an AuthorizeNet account to do this.  If you do not have one, please click on the link to the right of the Transaction options or call us at 866.QBEZPAY (723-9729) and we can assist you with setting one up. 

If you have a new/current account, please enter your API login and transaction key in the windows provided.

Select your Card Present (Store Retail – Face to Face Transactions) or Card Not Present (eCommerce)

Select ‘Next’ to continue.

 

Step 24 –

Select your additional gateway features by checking on the box located to the left of the AuthorizeNet Gateway Features list.  The  'Processing Credit Card' default feature is automatically enabled within the AuthorizeNet settings.  Pease contact us at 866.QBEZPAY (723-9729) for pricing on the additional features below. 

If you would like to add a default Processing/Convenience Fee, check the box under processing Fees and then add the amount you would like the software to default to.

 

Step 25 –

Your company setup is now complete.

Please remember that you must restart the QB EzPay software to begin using this new company.  Once you click on the ‘Finish’ button, the software will automatically exit.

 

 

Step 26 -

Click on the QB EzPay to open the software and begin using.
